Steven Gerrard insists he and his team-mates won't be distracted by off-field activities in the days leading up to Saturday's FA Cup Final against West Ham in Cardiff. New suits, ticket hassles and countless media interviews are as much part of Cup Final tradition as the pre-match singing of 'Abide With Me'. Gerrard has it all to contend with this week but admits it's no big deal and is keen to stress that preparing for the game is the most important thing on his mind. "Getting measured for suits and being constantly asked for tickets is all part and parcel of being in the FA Cup Final," the Reds skipper told Liverpoolfc.tv. "I've had people on from school who I haven't spoken to for ten years and they're not just asking for one ticket – they're after four or five! "Sorting everyone out with tickets is an impossible job so I've just changed my mobile phone number! As for the suits I'm not really bothered what the suits look like – so long as they're not cream! "There a lot of things going on in the week leading up to the game, such as media days and that, but as a player that stuff is not important. What's most important for us as individuals is getting ourselves right so that we're ready for the game on Saturday. "As captain it's my responsibility to help the boys as much as I can during this time. We've experienced the FA Cup Final build-up before, in 2001, and we've just got to take this experience into Saturday's final. "It's a bit different this time because West Ham are the underdogs. We'll give them a load of respect but we are going there to do the job."
